Australia sunshine makes it a prime candidate for solar energy (it has the highest average solar radiation per square meter than any other continent on Earth!) and this makes it a prime target for Tesla’s solar technology
Tesla’s Australian PR offensive began today with its “Tiny House” tour. The company unveiled the project which demonstrates its solar roof panels and Powerwall home energy storage batteries.
Tesla is hitting the road across Australia in a tiny house powered by 100% renewable energy Tesla explained on its website
The mini home is powered by solar energy using a six-panel 2kW solar system attached to a Powerwall battery, where energy can be stored throughout the day and night. This energy cycle is controlled and monitored through the Tesla mobile app.
To bolster its green credentials the company built the house from locally sourced timber which is chemical free.
