At a launch event being held at The Royal Society, the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP) announced plans to capitalise on the advances being made in the quantum sector. The NQTP is a programme coordinated by different government departments, as well as Innovate UK, amongst other bodies. The NQTP unveiled its ‘Roadmap for Quantum Technologies’ which is based on the principles and properties of quantum sensors and computing and involves both identifying and investing in applications such as gravity imaging.
