Cassini is entering the Grand Finale phase of its mission and getting closer to Saturn than ever before. Last Friday, for the first time ever, Cassini was able to reveal 3-dimensionality in the clouds of Saturn.
Because Cassini is now skimming the upper atmosphere, we have finally seen 3-dimensionality in the clouds of Saturn! https://t.co/fK8OxmgfWe pic.twitter.com/AIUP4sQhLp

As Cassini gets closer to Saturn the craft will swing closer and closer to the planet enabling it to study Saturn’s interior structure and the rings.
On September 15th Cassini will plunge into Saturn’s atmosphere and burn up 3 minutes later, valiantly fighting to send back data on the composition of the atmosphere until the last second.
If you haven’t seen it already, NASAs final stage of the mission video is beauitful and a must watch.
