In a video for the Telegraph, one of the latest products – the Livescribe 3 Smartpen – is tested by journalist Harry Wallop to see how effective it actually is for everyday use. The Smartpen is used with a pen and notebook that can digitize doodles, transferring them from your notebook to your (in this case) iPad, in real time. The tablet recognises phone numbers and dates – allowing you to add to your contacts and calendar, respectively. The device can also work as a Dictaphone – changing your scribbles to an audio recording.
