Rolls-Royce has announced that it has begun the testing phase of its “all-new aluminum space-frame architecture”, which it began developing in February last year.
The company says the new architecture, set to arrive in the market from early 2018, will underpin all of Rolls-Royce’s future car models.
In this early phase, testing and assessment of the new engineering is happening in various locations worldwide. Rolls-Royce say they want the new space-frame structure to meet its ‘magic-carpet ride’ trademark on different surfaces and be resilient even in extreme weather conditions in this first stage of testing.
