Aston Martin has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese technology firm LeEco, starting a new collaboration to develop a high end luxury electric car called the Aston Martin RapidE. The RapidE has been described as a “next generation connected vehicle” with an 800-hp engine and a 200-mile (322km) range. Aston Martin CEO, Dr Andy Palmer, said: “Aston Martin are dedicated to developing a range of cars with low emission technologies. Bringing the RapidE to market by 2018 is an important milestone for both companies.”
