New catalyst discovered to help hydrogen production

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US have announced the discovery of a new catalyst that they claim could significantly reduce the cost of hydrogen production. Hydrogen, which some claim will be the dominant automotive fuel of the future, is usually produced by separating water with electrical power. However, this new process will be much more efficient and inexpensive.
