Researchers at the University of Warwick have developed a new sensor called ‘Q-Eye’ which is able to identify hidden objects more quickly and which could potentially improve airport security. The technology works by detecting the rise in temperature produced when radiation emissions given off by an object are absorbed by the sensor.
