The prestigious EEF Photography Competition is now open. The theme for this year’s competition is Celebrating Everyday Manufacturing.
Adrian Waine ‘Stone Slab Cutting’ – 2017 Professional category winner
The EEF competition created to inspire a new image and improved public perception of UK manufacturing and engineering. Previous images have ranged from the traditional to the high-tech. This year the EEF is encouraging images that reflect the strength and diversity of today’s UK manufacturing sector.
For 2018 the EEF is taking entries across four categories; Next Generation, Future Technology, Manufacturing Process and Manufacturing Product
Each category has three ‘levels’ allowing Professional photographers, Amateur photographers and Young photographers (people under 20).
I entered the EEF Competition encouraged by friends from work. Although, I had in my portfolio some interesting images of one of the most recognizable British brands – Jaguar Land Rover, I certainly didn’t expect to win. This was an incredibly proud moment for me.
Being awarded in Amateur category has also given me confidence and courage to finally start my own photography venture. Jaukb Wasik – Amateur category winner 2017
Winners will grab a share of a £5000 prize fund as well as images being featured in a range of public venues from Government to EEF offices.
Entries will be open from 1st June to 30th September 2018
