The Aston Martin AM37 yacht has sailed into first owner’s hands.
The shimmering blue yacht has an extensively customized cabin and is a brilliant example of what can happen when one of the coolest brands in motoring decides to brings its engineering experience into a new field.
If you are interested in picking one up prices start at £1.25 million. However, the model above is heavily customized with a likely price tag well above that.
Two versions are available; the base model offers either a twin 370-hp (276-kW) diesel engines or a pair of 430-hp (321-kW) petrol engines for a top speed of 45 knots (52 mph, 83 km/h).
If you think you need a bit more grunt you can choose the AM37S, with twin 520-hp (388-kW) petrol engines for a 50-knot (58-mph, 93-km/h) top speed.
The boat was developed in conjunction with Quintessence Yachts and features a composite construction for light weight and smooth sailing in rough seas.
Regardless of trim or specification all the Aston Martin yachts feature a clever sliding cover for the cockpit and hide all the major controls in the single 15-inch touchscreen (you can forget switches and dials, everything from its electric anchor to the retractable swim platform can be dealt with via the display).
